Gregg ~ It was such a pleasure speaking with you on Sunday. It warmed my heart and brought back such great memories. Congratulations on your two master’s degrees and near completion of your doctorate. That takes a lot of work and determination to have accomplished all you have.

Thank you again for your time and wonderful conversation. I believe Sunday was moment that God wanted me hear him loud and clear.....he is amazing.

Warmest Regards,
Amy Harris

Dave Malutinok (HOPE for Children director in Atlanta)'s mom, Olga -urgent prayer request.

Dear sisters and brothers,
I don't know if you know or not about Dave Malutinok's mom. I'm guessing many of you do, but just in case you don't, here is what has been happening and Peggy's message to me below tells the present situation:
Dave's mom has an aortic aneurysm in her heart where the aorta splits to go to both arms and the brain. The doctors can't fix the aneurysm because she wouldn't survive the surgery so they are considering putting in a stent to bypass the aneurisms and lessen the pressure on the spot. The aneurysm is pressing on a nerve that controls vocal cords so she can't make any sounds and therefore cannot talk. I remember Renata and how she went in to surgery for an aneurisms in the brain and came out with better German than when she went in.
Hope you and your family are doing well.

You probably know all this but Olga really needs prayers and I know that you are a people of prayer.
Louise, Stan and Vicki, Suzanne and Leanne, would you please bring this request before your congregations? If you haven't already done so, Geigy (some day I will consistently spell your name right) would you let the disciples in Q8 and the other congregations know? Those of you who have no clue who I am, I am a disciple in the Boston Church of Christ.
If you could put it on your church's email list right away, that would be great. I know it will encourage Olga and the Malutinok's to know that disciples around the world are praying. Please pray that not only will she be healed but that she will become a disciple and live many long happy years with Dave and Peg.
Also, the HOPE for Children annual fundraiser is scheduled for November 2. Please pray that even though Dave is under extreme pressure right now that the fundraiser will be successful beyond the wildest expectations.

Love, Judith and Larry
Subject: Dave's mom

Hi dear friends,

Just got in from Atlanta this evening, and want to give you a quick update regarding Dave's mom. Wish I could talk to you in person, but I’m feeling the need to rest soon, so chose this method instead. Again, I do not have everyone’s email address, please pass the following on to whomever you know would like to hear it.

It is great that Olga has survived up to this point, but her situation is getting even more serious, so please keep praying. Her lungs started filling with fluid two days ago, making her weaker and well as very discouraged. Also, this afternoon her cardiologist told us that the company that manufactures the stents will not agree to oversee surgery due to her physical condition. So now this physician is seeking a heart surgeon who will agree to perform her very risky surgery (on an experimental basis); if he finds one, she will have to be moved to their hospital.

Obviously, this news was very discouraging to Olga, and of course concerning for us. But God holds our lives in His hands, so we are praying for a miracle.

Over the weekend, we were picked up and taken back to the airport by disciples, joined in packing up Olga's home by disciples, hugged and encouraged by so many on Sunday morning, as well as hearing stories of the many disciples who have been visiting and serving Olga in so many ways. As I am sure many of you have experienced in similar situations, it is incredible how comforting is the love of our Christian family.

Thank you in advance for your prayers.

Like the look.

Looks like your calender is breaking your layout in IE, at least for me. I had that problem on my site back when I had a calender. It was the three letter day headings (Mon, Tue, etc) so I changed it to single letters (M, T, W, etc). That fixed it for me, might give it a try.
